1 graduate required as Financial Advisor in Johannesburg Area

A fast growing, dynamic company in Johannesburg is seeking 1 graduate required as Financial Advisor offering financial advice to clients, with a focus on Chinese clients in Johannesburg area.

The successful candidates should be able to:
a) review the client's existing financial position by gathering information;
b) identify the client’s risk covers, investments, medical aid and short-term insurance needs;
c) prepare a proposed financial plan which addresses the client’s needs and objectives;
d) implement the proposed financial plan;
e) identify and implement suitable financial products of various Life Assurance Companies;
f) provide the client with ongoing service; and
g) be able to build and to maintain a trust relationship with the client.

Qualifications Required:
a) Completing a BCom degree in 2012, top 10% in the class;
b) Previous sales experience a definite advantage;

c) Well connected in the Chinese community in Johannesburg anadvantage;
d) Proficiency in English and Afrikaans; Proficiency in Chinese an advantage;
e) You should hold a valid driver`s license;
f) You should be willing to travel and require lots of energy;
g) You should be able to work independently and to be flexible to work extended hours.

Remuneration: R10,000 basic plus commissions

·         Policy amendments

·         Policy retention, follow up with clients’ unpaid premiums

·         Process short-term insurance claims.

Requirements:

·         Senior Certificate

·         RE5 Certificate

·         Accreditation for domestic and commercial short term (60 credits)

·         At least 2 years experience in short term insurance claims administration

·         Proficiency in English and Mandarin

·         Valid drivers licence and own transport essential

·         Computer literate.

Job Description:

·         Identify potential commercial and domestic clients

·         Make appointments

·         See clients and gather information / assess client needs to do quotes

·         Forward information to Admin staff to do quotes

·         Receive quotes and market to client / close business

·         Forward all documentation to admin staff for issue of policy

·         Do follow-up visits to clients

·         Report to management on weekly basis

Requirements:

·         Senior Certificate

·         RE5 Certificate

·         Accreditation for domestic and commercial short term (60 credits)

·         At least 2 years experience / success in marketing of commercial short term insurance

·         Proficiency in English and Mandarin

·         Valid drivers licence and own transport essential

·         Computer literate
